This Sun-Loving Chuckwalla Is Feeling the Heat From Invasive Species

This is Charles, a 27-year-old San Esteban chuckwalla. His species of chuckwalla is the largest of its kind. Native to a single tiny island in the Gulf of California, Mexico, this sun-loving lizard is endangered due to hunting, the pet trade, and invasive feral animals who prey on their eggs.
