It's “The Aquatic World" with Philippe Cousteau, and today we're talking Phytoplankton. Phytoplankton are remarkable minuscule ocean-dwellers. They're too small to be seen individually by the unaided eye, but in larger numbers appear as colored patches on the water surface. Some even glow in the dark. They’re also the foundation of the oceanic food chain. Nice work Philippe!
