Captain's Log: Today, we find ourselves in fresher waters as we've docked in the Amazon to come face-to-fin with one of the mighty river's most peculiar pisces: the electric eel. Unlike most fish, they breathe air—unlike most animals altogether, they've evolved special organs and muscles to generate electric current like a battery. They can actually leap out of the water to shock potential prey, so note: I will not be working in close proximity with our specimen myself. This is what my noble, intrepid, courageous crew is for. Forza!
