Coffee in Ethiopia

When Dassu Tola makes coffee, she makes a big pot—enough to serve her family and neighbors. Tola lives in Dima Atabala, Ethiopia, where the locals drink jimma. She roasts the beans in a pan and grounds them with a mortar and pestle. Once brewed, the coffee is served with cloves and sugar, and sometimes salt.
