Mike Boston is a music producer and founder of Mobile Stü, a mobile recording studio giving the city’s youth a chance to be heard. With a truck equipped with recording tools, Mike helps kids in the community create their own hip-hop tracks, giving them a way to express themselves through music. Now, they aren’t the only ones rhyming to the beat. Local authorities have joined in, and now, an idea that began as a way to give kids a voice is also helping to bridge the gap between police and the community.
